The SunSwitch solar controller has built in protection against voltage drop and power surges and also has ESM (energy saving mode) which prevents pump over-run and saves precious electricity. The SunSwitch controller also has the highest spec German temperature sensors to ensure that the SunSwitch turns the system on and off when it should.
